Senior Cloud Engineer

Position: Sr. Cloud Engineer/ L2

Location: Mumbai

Work Mode: WFO

Years of Experience Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience of Windows/Linux Administration

Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Job Description:

• Extensive experience in server administration on Linux and/or Windows.
  • Understanding of OS boot process
  • Experience on Kernel updates and troubleshooting
  • Network and routing configuration at OS level.
  • OS hardening
  • Filesystem and User administration
  • Object (Files and directories) level and user level permission configurations.
  • Experience on Shell experience is mandatory.
  • Experience on Python script is preferred.
  • Troubleshooting of OS level issues.
  • Setting up of remote/centralized Syslog service and configuration of log rotation
• Experience on middleware
  • Understanding of architecture and flow of web applications.
  • Experience of working on web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS) and application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
• Understanding of database servers
  • Basic understanding of RDMBS and SQL queries.
  • Experience on installation and configuration of any database server from MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.
• Understanding of General IT concepts.
  • Logging and log management.
  • Backup options and policies.
  • Networking concepts, i.e. IP addressing, subnetting, network topologies in LAN and WAN. VPN concepts and configurations.
  • Documentation and SOP preparations.
  • Clustering and High availability of resources.
• Understanding on Virtualization and Cloud Computing
  • Experience of working on any virtualized environment or public cloud.
  • Understanding of concepts of hypervisor.

Required Skill Set and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience of Windows/Linux Administration.
• At least 4+ years of experience on AWS.
• AWS Certified - Associate / Professional Solution Architect(optional).
• Have worked on Automations using AWS and third-party tools

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
• Good documentation skills
• Should have a great customer handling skill
• Able to handle unforeseen situations

Certification :

• AWS Certified - Associate / Professional Solution Architect(optional).
