Senior Buyer

Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Outsourcing – Knitwear
   • Manage end-to-end outsourcing of knitwear products from vendor identification to order execution.
   • Coordinate with vendors for product development, quality, delivery, and commercial requirements.
   • Ensure timely sourcing and production in line with business requirements.
2. Techno-Commercial
   • Evaluate vendors based on technical capabilities, commercial terms, quality standards, and production capacity.
   • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, and other commercial conditions.
   • Ensure the best balance of quality, cost, and delivery.
3. Costing
   • Prepare and analyze product costing based on fabric, trims, processing, labor, overheads, and other relevant components.
   • Benchmark vendor quotations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
   • Ensure competitive pricing while maintaining required quality standards and margins.
4. Vendor Development
   • Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new vendors as per business requirements.
   • Build strong vendor relationships and continuously monitor vendor performance.
   • Work with vendors to improve quality, cost efficiency, capacity, and delivery performance.
5. Category Development
   • Develop and expand the knitwear category in line with market trends and customer requirements.
   • Identify new product opportunities, fabrics, suppliers, and manufacturing capabilities.
   • Analyze market and category performance to support sourcing and buying decisions.
   • Drive product innovation, competitive pricing, and category growth.

Job Requirements :

• 8-14 years of experience in a similar role within the textile & apparel industry.
• Strong understanding of knitwear manufacturing processes and costing principles.
• Proven track record in vendor development and management.
