Role Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between stakeholders and our high-performance engineering squads. You are a consultant at heart, responsible for navigating ambiguity to define product roadmaps. You will lead the Discovery Phase of enterprise projects, ensuring that every requirement is anchored in a clear business objective and user journey.
Domain Expertise: Candidates will be working across the following specialized domains:
  1. Non-Profit Sector
  2. Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) or Membership Management Systems (MMS)
  3. HCM/PCM (Human Capital Management and Personal Care and Management)
  4. Finance and Accounting
  5. Construction Project Management, Building Management
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Consulting: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading discovery workshops to uncover pain points, identify needs, and translate them into a highlevel product vision.
  • Advanced Backlog Governance: Own the product backlog, lead refinement sessions, and ensure user stories meet the highest Definition of Ready (DoR) standards.
  • Requirement Lifecycle: Lead discovery workshops to elicit, analyze, and document requirements. Use Jira and Confluence to maintain a Single Source of Truth for all requirement specifications.
  • Documentation Specification: Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), and comprehensive user guides.
  • Visual Solutioning: Design sophisticated business process models (BPMN), user journeys, and collaborate with UI/UX designers on high-fidelity wireframes using Figma or Miro.
  • Change Management: Keep track of requirement changes and assess functional impact on the product. Negotiate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations.
  • Technical Interface: Review API documentation and data models to ensure functional requirements are technically feasible for the development team.
  • Mentorship Quality: Mentor mid and junior BAs by establishing standardized templates, processes, and mentoring them on requirement elicitation techniques.
  • UAT Strategy: Define the strategy for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and act as the final authority on whether a feature meets the Definition of Done (DoD).
Technical Skills Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT services or software environment.
  • Tools: Expert-level proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and visual modeling tools (Miro, Lucidchart, Figma).
  • Methodology: Deep expertise in Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks.
  • Documentation: Proven ability to produce high-quality BRDs, FRS/SRS, and traceability matrices.
  • Modeling: Advanced knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and UML (use case, sequence, and class diagrams).
  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable writing SQL queries and analyzing REST API and GraphQL structures
Preferred Skills Certifications
  • Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Extras: Knowledge of SQL and database management; experience with business process modeling.
Soft Skills
  • Stakeholder Management Negotiation: Proven ability to manage relationships with product stakeholders; skilled at navigating conflicting requirements to align stakeholders with the product vision and roadmap.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions and project risks clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with experience leading sessions between developers, QA teams, and product owners to ensure a unified understanding of the project s Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Active Listening Empathy: Strong ability to elicit unspoken requirements by understanding user pain points and business context.
