Role: Senior Business System Analyst (BSA)

Work location: Mumbai or Bangalore

Role & responsibilities

Comes with deep BFSI expertise and is open to learning into other industries simultaneously. Documents the detailed business requirements and functional specifications.

• Ensures that requirements align with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Helps in identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements in BFSI engagements. Competent in data analysis and presentation using a variety of software platforms, including Power BI, Excel,Snowflake, etc.
• Collaborates with data engineers and architects to define data models and ensure data quality.
• Participates in data mapping exercises to understand data flows and relationships.
• Develops and maintains data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
• Conducts user acceptance testing (UAT) for the projects.

Preferred candidate profile

4+ years of consulting/BA experience, with a focus on data projects

Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft/Google Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Competent with JIRA,Microsoft Visio and other project management tools for managing and documenting business needs.

Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, sprint planning, product backlog grooming, story estimations, etc.

Well-developed industry expertise in the BFSI domain.

Working experience or understanding of local and international regulations in the BFSI sector.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.

Experience in data modeling techniques (e.g., relational, dimensional)

Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices.

Ability to lead a team with a sound work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional client service

Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts

Knowledge of the insurance domain
