This is a hands-on rolebridging business requirements, technical design, and data strategy-owning discovery, requirementsdocumentation, data architecture, and platform configuration. Youll work as a co-equal lead alongside anonshore BA, with full ownership of your workstreams.Youre expected to master new MDM platforms quickly, think critically about requirements, and leverage AItooling (GenAI, data quality automation) to accelerate work while maintaining rigor in data governance. Timesplit: ~40% discovery/requirements, ~40% technical design/data work, ~20% UAT/validation/handover.
Responsibilities
- Run client workshops and translate business requirements into structured, testable user stories-usingGenAI tools to draft and iterate, then validate critically
- Flag scope risks early and recommend realistic alternatives when constraints (timeline, budget, dataquality) conflict with original asks
- Profile and audit legacy data; inventory data sources, identify quality issues, design transformations for the target platform
- Design and implement data governance and quality rules: stewardship models, hierarchy design, attribute governance, master data lifecycle
- Own data migrations end-to-end: approach, mapping, ETL runbooks, cutover validation, and rollbackprocedures
- Maintain requirements traceability matrix (RTM) and manage scope changes through formal changecontrol
- Write and execute UAT test scripts; leverage AI-assisted test generation where appropriate, validateresults, manage defects to sign-off
- Demo completed features and stories; communicate technical constraints and trade-offs in businessterms

- Hands-on experience with core MDM concepts: hierarchies, attribute management, data quality rules, workflows, integration patterns, and stewardship models
- Proven track record architecting and executing data migrations: legacy profiling, ETL design, mapping, transformation logic, validation, cutover risk management
- Deep knowledge of MDM best practices: master data governance, data stewardship lifecycle, operating model design
- Technical Analytical Skills: Excel mastery: mapping matrices, data profiling, pivot tables, validation rules, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH
- Ability to read and interpret SQL queries; comfortable with technical teams on data extracts and ETL logic
- Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools for data flow diagrams and system architecture
- Experience authoring RTMs, functional specifications, and UAT scripts with clear acceptance criteria
- Comfortable using GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to draft and iterate on requirements and documentation; critically validates AI-generated output
- Recognizes where AI-powered data quality or profiling tools improve efficiency and understands their limitations (hallucination, data privacy)
Good-to-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience with 2+ MDM platforms (Stibo STEP, Syndigo, Akeneo, Talend, SAP MDG, Informatica)
- Post-go-live support experience: run-books, troubleshooting, mentoring client teams, defining L1/2 support
- Experience designing data stewardship/governance operating models or change management programs
