Business Analyst Insurance Sales
Role Summary
We are looking for a self-driven Business Analyst with a strong understanding of the end-to-end insurance sales lifecycle. The role requires an individual contributor who can independently own requirements end to end, work closely with business and technology stakeholders, and ensure high-quality delivery aligned to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Delivery
- Independently drive end-to-end business analysis activities including requirement elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and sign-off.
- Understand and translate insurance sales processes such as lead management, proposal, underwriting, issuance, commissions, endorsements, and policy servicing into clear functional requirements.
- Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Act as the functional single point of ownership for assigned scope and features from initiation to production rollout.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with business users, technology team, QA, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
- Facilitate requirement walkthrough, functional discussions, and impact analysis sessions.
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and drive resolution.
Agile / SDLC Support
- Support Agile SDLC execution including backlog grooming, sprint planning, UAT support, and defect triage.
- Support review of test scenarios and test cases to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Support post-production activities such as issue analysis and solution validation.
Ownership & Accountability
- Take complete ownership of assigned deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Ensure high-quality documentation, traceability, and timely delivery.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and simplification.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
- 45 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong exposure to end-to-end insurance sales processes (Life / Health / General Insurance).
- Proven experience working as an individual contributor, owning requirements independently.
Core BA Skills
- Requirement elicitation and analysis
- Business process modeling (as-is / to-be)
- Functional & non-functional requirement documentation
- User story writing and backlog refinement
- Impact analysis and solution validation
Tools & Methodologies
- Experience with Agile / Scrum delivery models.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelors degree in IT, Business, or related field.
- CBAP / CCBA / Agile BA certification is an added advantage.
