Position Title: Senior BIM Modeler-Electrical

Role Description

As a Senior BIM Modeler, you will take on a leadership role in managing complex modeling tasks, ensuring quality control, and mentoring junior staff. You will be pivotal in implementing modeling standards and delivering high-quality outputs that align with project requirements and industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas

1. Advanced BIM Model Development

• Lead and manage advanced modeling tasks using industry-standard software.
• Implement modeling standards like ISO 19650 or national BIM mandates.
• Create complex parametric models and families tailored to project needs.

2. Quality Control

• Oversee and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of deliverables.
• Conduct regular reviews to maintain high standards in modeling workflows.

3. Leadership and Mentorship

• Guide junior staff in their modeling tasks and professional development.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by providing clear direction and constructive feedback.

4. Innovative Problem Solving

• Utilize advanced tools like Dynamo or Grasshopper to automate and optimize modeling workflows.
• Provide solutions to complex modeling challenges within tight deadlines.

5. Coordination with Stakeholders

• Collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to align models with overall project objectives.
• Communicate technical insights and solutions to diverse audiences.

Qualifications and Skills Expected

Educational Background

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical engineering, or a related field.

Technical Proficiency

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, or similar tools.
• Advanced parametric modeling and family creation skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 or national BIM standards.

Personal Attributes

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Mentorship capabilities to support junior team members.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Preferred Knowledge

• Prior academic experience with BIM software is an advantage.
• Certification in BIM tools will be beneficial.
