Senior Backend Engineer

Our platform helps legal teams save 10 hours a week and close deals 25% faster because time is money, and contracts shouldn't slow you down.

We're looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer who's passionate about clean code, scalable systems, and solving real-world problems with elegant tech. You'll build APIs, own core services, and shape the backend architecture powering our AI-driven contract platform.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop APIs based on user requirements
• Abstract complexity into libraries that allow them to be reused
• Identify and fix issues in your modules and libraries
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Own modules or services in the SpotDraft stack and see them from development to deployment to post-release maintenance
• Work closely with tech leads and the CTO for timely delivery of product features and engineering tasks
• Participate actively in design discussions and define the long-term architecture of the system

What we're looking for

• 4-7 years of experience
• Strong Python skills (Django/Flask = bonus points)
• RESTful API wizardry
• Solid CS fundamentals (DSA, system design)
• Linux command-line pro
