Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core services powering our next-generation healthcare platform. This role will focus on delivering secure, high-performance backend systems that support web and mobile applications (iOS and Android) in a cloud-native environment. You will work in a modern, AI-assisted engineering organization leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Node.js, and TypeScript, within a GitHub-based DevSecOps workflow. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical execution and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
Required Qualifications
5+ years backend engineering experience Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript Experience with API-driven architectures Hands-on experience with GCP (or AWS/Azure) Understanding of microservices and distributed systems Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) Familiarity with GitHub workflows and CI/CD Strong understanding of backend security practices Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA) Familiarity with FHIR/EHR integrations Event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub, Kafka) Docker, Kubernetes (GKE) Observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing)
