Senior Backend Engineer

What You'll Own
- Backend architecture and APIs powering live session orchestration, booking, matching, and payments.

- Agentic system design building workflows where AI agents plan, execute, and handle multi-step tasks autonomously in production.

- The AI-first playbook for the engineering team: tooling choices, workflow design, and standards that make everyone faster.

- Production reliability across distributed services monitoring, performance tuning, incident response.

- End-to-end feature delivery from design through rollout, collaborating with product and frontend.

- Mentoring engineers on both backend craft and AI-augmented development.

What You Bring
The fundamentals:

- 5+ years building and operating production backend systems.

- Strong Go (Golang) proficiency.

- Real experience with distributed architectures, SQL/NoSQL at scale, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- A track record of shipping reliable, performant systems not just designing them.

What makes you a 10x hire:

- You use agentic coding tools daily Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar and they've fundamentally changed how you ship.

- You understand skills, memory, context and guardrails management; have hands on experience with agentic orchestration: how to design systems where LLM-driven agents use tools, handle errors, and complete complex tasks with minimal hand-holding.

- You've built or integrated AI-powered features in production RAG pipelines, AI agents, intelligent automation, or similar.

- You have a clear point of view on where AI accelerates engineering and where human judgment is irreplaceable.

- You don't just work fast you make everyone around you faster.

Bonus Points
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool-use frameworks.

- Experience scaling consumer-facing or marketplace platforms.

- Strong DevOps and observability chops (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

- Open-source contributions or public writing on backend/AI tooling.
