Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. Required Technical and Professional Experience
- 4-6 years of experience working as a ServiceNow software engineer on complex software projects
- ServiceNow ITOM/CMDB Certification is mandatory.
- Update and extend the data model (table changes, form changes and permissions) based on approved requests.
- Review customizations applied to CMDB, if any, and suggest plans to move to out-of-box for any that do not have valid business justification.
- Design and develop CMDB data load process for data loading.
- Provide support for CMDB, Discovery, and Service mapping issues/defects including network access, permissions/credentials issue resolution by working with necessary support teams.
- Provide support for complex problems related to the CMDB solution that are raised by the operation teams.
- Configure and deploy standard reports and dashboards, including ServiceNow Out of Box CMDB Audit Dashboard
- Remediate and close duplicate tasks on scheduled basis.
- Creation of CIs e.g new application, technical service and business applications including associated relationships.
- Configure and maintain ServiceNow mid-server for Discovery deployment.
- Create and Enhance discovery probes and sensors, make minor modifications to patterns for requested and approved changes.
- Review and maintain Configuration Item (CI) data integrity in CMDB utilizing CMDB Health dashboards and socializing CMDB data issues to ITSM process owners on an agreed frequency with client.
- Perform operational activities to reconcile configuration item discrepancies.
- Update configuration information for one or more configuration items, as required.
- Address potential data quality issues and take remediating action as required.
- Review and manage CMDB work queue and close tickets in a timely manner.
- Work with the CI Owners and the Configuration Manager to resolve questions about CIs, data and other Configuration Management issues.
- Perform discovery scans and address steady state discovery failures.
- Maintain and update CMDB SOP documents including version control.
- Interact with identified Stryker stakeholders, as needed, for the areas that are supported by the platform run support team.
- For a solution deployed with ServiceNow Discovery
- Configure ServiceNow MID-server for Discovery deployment
- Enhance custom patterns (probes and sensors) for requested and approved changes
- Create new patterns for new types of devices or requirements
- Provide support for discovery/Service Mapping issues raised by the Configuration Manager or Configuration Librarian including network access and permissions/credentials
- Work with support teams to resolve network access and permissions/credentials issues
- Periodic updates to entry points.
- Resolve discovery errors and credential errors.
- Maintain Service Mapping schedules.
- From HRSD Support Team scope
- Kyndryl and Stryker will establish baseline after 90 days from contract start date and discuss new support requirements, if any.
- Kyndryl provides 1 developer to deliver HRSD enhancements 100 hours per month (Mid to Large enhancements are not in scope).
- Bachelors degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- ServiceNow certification.
