Job Description
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications, ensuring seamless functionality from concept to deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Kotlin, leveraging industry best practices and design patterns.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, WebSocket, and Socket.io for real-time data exchange and communication.
- Implement push notifications and session management for enhanced user engagement and retention.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of applications.
- Utilize crash analytics tools to identify and address issues promptly, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Manage production build release procedures, including version control with Git.
- Integrate hardware components via Bluetooth and socket connections, leveraging internet connectivity for seamless operation.
- Implement location integration for precise tracking and navigation functionalities.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience developing native Android applications with Kotlin, Java.
- Proficiency in hardware integration via Bluetooth and socket connections, as well as internet connectivity.
- Solid understanding of design patterns and mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC/MVP.
- Familiarity with various Jetpack Components including Room Database, Navigation Component. Working experience of Jetpack Compose will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Proficient in RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Deep understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Experience of working with Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
- Experience of utilizing device sensors such as GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, etc., to enhance app functionality and user experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and Jetpack Components (Room Database, Navigation Component).
- Familiarity with socket scaling techniques and advanced hardware integration.
- Previous experience in fleet management or related industries.
