Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a visionary Manager to lead the design, development, and global implementation of our enterprise network security frameworks. You will be responsible for defining the long-term security posture of our infrastructure, moving beyond legacy setups to modern, zero-trust, and software-defined network (SDN) architectures. Like the frameworks at global tech leaders, your goal is to build a "secure-by-default" network that remains resilient under the scale of millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Architecture: Architect and execute a robust security framework (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, or custom Zero-Trust models) that aligns with complex business objectives and hyperscale requirements.
- Implementation Leadership: Lead the end-to-end deployment of security controls, including advanced firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation strategies across global data centers and cloud environments.
- Strategic Roadmap: Establish the 3-5 year security strategy and roadmap, ensuring the network can proactively defend against emerging threats like AI-driven attacks or advanced persistent threats (APTs).
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and engineering VPs, translating physical infrastructure demands into high-level security requirements.
- Vulnerability & Risk Governance: Oversee enterprise-wide risk assessments and control gap analyses, prioritizing remediation based on business impact and regulatory standards like GDPR or SOC2.
- Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of security architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1015+ years in network engineering and cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial capacity overseeing large-scale implementations.
- Technical Depth: Deep expertise in Layer 1-3 network design, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Framework Mastery: Hands-on experience implementing NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Risk Management Framework (RMF), or CIS Critical Security Controls.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Proven track record in managing secure deployments in hyperscale environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure) using Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to assess complex issues, spot potential bottlenecks before they occur, and plan for future scalability.
Preferred Certifications & Education
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.Role & responsibilities
