About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to own and enhance the production detection and threat research capabilities of our security platform.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and improving detection systems at scale, understands real-world adversary behavior, and can analyze security signals across logs, network traffic, and telemetry. You will play a key role in strengthening detection capabilities, reducing false positives, and proactively identifying security weaknesses before they are exploited.
Key Responsibilities
Detection Engineering
- Own and improve production detection architecture.
- Tune and evaluate statistical anomaly detection models.
- Improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
- Expand detection coverage as the platform evolves.
- Harden security models against adversarial attacks.
Red Teaming
- Perform security assessments and red-team internal security systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities across security controls, execution layers, and detection mechanisms.
- Validate security defenses against real-world attack scenarios.
Threat Research
- Research emerging attack techniques and adversary behavior.
- Analyze AI-related threats, prompt injection, and model evasion techniques.
- Translate threat intelligence into actionable detection improvements.
- Prepare technical findings, advisories, and security documentation.
Security Analysis
- Analyze packet captures, proxy logs, and production security telemetry.
- Correlate network and application-level events.
- Differentiate meaningful security signals from noisy alerts.
Standards Technical Documentation
- Contribute to technical documentation and security standards.
- Support regulatory and standards-related technical initiatives.
- Ensure security controls are auditable, defensible, and technically sound.
Required Skills
Detection Engineering
- Experience designing, operating, or tuning detection systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of anomaly detection and security signal quality.
- Experience reducing false positives and improving detection accuracy.
- Hands-on experience with production security telemetry.
Security Threat Analysis
- Strong background in Threat Research or Red Teaming.
- Experience identifying attack paths and exploitation techniques.
- Understanding of attacker methodologies and detection evasion.
Network Log Analysis
- Experience analyzing packet captures and proxy logs.
- Ability to correlate network and application-level evidence.
- Strong understanding of security events versus actionable alerts.
AI Security
- Knowledge of prompt injection risks and AI security.
- Understanding of security for AI agents, proxies, and automated execution systems.
- Ability to evaluate security risks in AI-driven environments.
Standards Compliance
- Experience writing or reviewing technical security documentation.
- Understanding of auditability, security correctness, and compliance requirements.
Good to Have
- Published security research or CVE contributions.
- Experience with NIST, IETF, ISO, W3C, or similar standards bodies.
- Experience working with enterprise security products.
- Familiarity with agent identity, revocation mechanisms, and audit frameworks.
- Background in cloud security, detection engineering, or security infrastructure.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Detection Engineering, Threat Research, or Red Teaming.
- Proven experience working on large-scale production security systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Passion for building secure, scalable, and resilient security platforms.
