Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring that the Company’s technology and data are secure from malicious attacks that may breach or expose the Company’s IT systems, employee information, or intellectual property. This position performs security engineering tasks including detection and analysis of cyber security threats, forensic investigations, network security design, vulnerability scans and remediation, and would assist in managing and carrying our IT security projects and initiatives

 

Job Overview

Callaway is seeking a Security Engineer – Cloud & AI Security to support the design, implementation, and governance of security controls across cloud infrastructure and emerging AI technologies. This role focuses on securing Azure environments, enabling safe adoption of generative AI, and improving visibility and control over AI-related risks.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud security and a strong interest in AI security, contributing to building a secure foundation for next-generation platforms.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across Azure cloud environments, including identity, networking, and workload protection
• Support the development and enforcement of AI security policies and governance frameworks
• Provide visibility into enterprise usage of AI tools, agents, APIs, and SaaS-based AI platforms
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data leakage, prompt injection, and unauthorized AI usage
• Integrate cloud and AI telemetry into security platforms (e.g., SIEM, EDR, CASB/SSE such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Zscaler)
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Defender, Proofpoint, and Tenable to enhance threat detection, email security, and vulnerability management
• Partner with AppSec and infrastructure (network/server) organization, and development teams to secure cloud-native and AI-enabled applications
• Assist in evaluating and onboarding AI security solutions (e.g., AI gateways, posture management tools)
• Support implementation of identity-driven access controls leveraging Azure AD / Okta
• Contribute to cloud and AI security architecture standards and best practices
• Monitor and respond to security risks across cloud workloads, endpoints, and AI services

 

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure security services and controls
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and Zero Trust principles
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (containers, APIs, microservices)
• Knowledge of AI/ML security concepts, including data exposure risks and prompt injection
• Experience with security platforms such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Proofpoint, and Tenable
• Understanding of security monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability management
• Ability to integrate telemetry into SIEM, EDR, and CASB/SSE solutions
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

 

Education & Experience

• 6 –9 years of experience in Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Experience with Azure cloud security and enterprise security tools
• Exposure to AI platforms (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, Anthropic) is a plus
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AZ-500, Security+, CCSP)
