Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive automation efforts for our Desktop and mSite (mobile web) platforms. The role involves end-to-end ownership of test automation across both Front-End (FE) and Back-End (BE) layers, ensuring high-quality releases in a fast-paced, sprint-driven environment.

Given that our application ecosystem has largely transitioned to web views, the candidate should have a strong understanding of Customer Experience Pod (CCP) systems and their impact on user journeys and testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for Desktop and mSite platforms
• Implement end-to-end test automation covering UI, API, and integration layers
• Work on Front-End automation (UI flows, validations, user journeys) and Back-End testing (API validation, data integrity checks)
• Develop and execute automated test cases using Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Rest Assured (UTAF framework)
• Perform white-box testing, including debugging code, analyzing logs, and identifying root causes of issues
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
• Identify edge cases, gaps, and failure scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Ensure CI/CD integration of test suites for faster and reliable releases
• Contribute to improving test strategy, framework scalability, and automation efficiency

Required Skills Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles
• Strong programming skills in Java
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Selenium WebDriver (UI automation)
  • Rest Assured (API automation)
  • TestNG (test execution framework)
  • Experience working with UTAF or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of Front-End and Back-End testing concepts
• Proven experience in white-box testing (code-level debugging, log analysis, issue isolation)
• Ability to design scalable and maintainable automation frameworks
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques, edge case identification, and validation strategies
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Appium / Mobile automation testing
• Understanding of mobile app testing concepts
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Familiarity with web view-based applications and hybrid testing approaches
• Knowledge of performance testing or monitoring tools is an added advantage
