About This Role

As an SDET specializing in automation testing at M2P, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our software products. Working closely with Engineering, Product, and Quality teams, you will help drive test automation initiatives, improve testing efficiency, and contribute to building high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

Your expertise in both manual and automated testing will be essential. In the initial stages, the role may involve a higher proportion of manual testing to establish functional stability and coverage. As the product matures, the focus will progressively shift toward automation, enabling faster, more reliable, and scalable quality assurance processes.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web applications, mobile applications, and backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define automation strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage across the product lifecycle.
• Enhance and optimize existing test frameworks, utilities, and tools to support evolving business and technical requirements.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams to drive timely resolution.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating and maintaining automated testing within deployment workflows.
• Ensure product quality through a balanced approach to manual and automated testing, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and automation adoption.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Advocate quality engineering best practices and contribute to building a culture of quality across teams.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or a similar Quality Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar object-oriented/programming languages.
• Experience in API testing and proficiency with tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent solutions.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is an added advantage.
• High energy, proactive mindset, and a strong inclination toward ownership and continuous learning.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver against timelines without compromising quality.
