Scrub Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OT Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a sterile operating environment, assisting surgeons during procedures, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the perioperative care process. Candidates should have excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operation theatre.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operation theatre to ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Arrange, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team by providing instruments and materials during surgeries.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and required documentation before surgery.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Provide immediate support during emergency surgical situations.
• Assist in transferring patients to the recovery area and monitor their condition as required.
• Maintain accurate surgical records and clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Follow infection prevention and hospital safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, OT technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
