Job Description
As a Senior SAP PLM Consultant specializing in S/4HANA Public Cloud, you will be responsible for driving the implementation and optimization of Product Lifecycle Management processes, focusing on product master data governance, change management, document management, and engineering change control, using the Fit-to-Standard approach. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure the seamless adoption of PLM functionalities in a public cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops for PLM scope in S/4HANA Public Cloud
Configure and deploy standard PLM functionalities, such as:
o Product master data
o Product structure (Bill of Materials, Routings)
o Change Record and Change Management (SAP ECR/ECO)
o Document Management System (DMS)
o Product variants and classification
Ensure integration of PLM with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality
Apply SAP Best Practices and Activate methodology to deliver cloud-compliant solutions
Support data migration and product master harmonization
Work with developers on key-user extensions, side-by-side BTP extensions, or in-app changes
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams for change control processes
Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Prepare training materials and deliver end-user enablement sessions
Provide hypercare and post-go-live support
Required Skills & Experience:
Functional Expertise:
6 10 years of SAP experience, including 2+ years in S/4HANA Public Cloud
Strong domain knowledge in Product Data Management and Engineering Change Control
Experience with PLM scope items in S/4HANA Public Cloud
Knowledge of SAP DMS, material variants, and classification
Technical Awareness:
Understanding of SAP Fiori apps for PLM
Experience with in-app extensibility and SAP BTP for side-by-side development
Familiarity with Product Master Governance (MDG) is a plus
Certification:
SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud certification in PLM or related areas (preferred)
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Ability to work across global teams in agile delivery environments
Additional Details:
Willingness to travel (as required)
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
Experience in industries like manufacturing, hi-tech, is preferred
