SAP MM Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Configure and customize SAP MM modules including Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Material Master, Vendor Master, Invoice Verification, and Logistics Execution.
• Participate in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, and support projects.
• Gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, prepare functional specifications, and recommend process improvements.
• Configure procurement processes including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, RFQs, Release Strategies, Pricing Procedures, and Vendor Evaluation.
• Integrate SAP MM with other SAP modules such as FI, SD, PP, QM, PM, WM, and EWM.
• Support data migration activities using SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, or other migration tools.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom developments, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Provide production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and timely issue resolution.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct end-user training and provide post-go-live support.
• Ensure SAP solutions comply with business processes, internal controls, and best practices.
• Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA innovations, Fiori applications, and procurement best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant with strong SAP S/4HANA exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration, procurement, inventory management, material master, vendor master, and invoice verification.
• Experience in multiple full-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, or support projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM integration with SAP FI, SD, PP, QM, PM, WM, and EWM.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Ariba, SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, and SAP Solution Manager is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and work closely with ABAP developers on enhancements and custom developments.
• Strong understanding of business process mapping, gap analysis, testing, documentation, and end-user training.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) certification or SAP Certified Application Associate certification is highly preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing global or cross-functional project teams is an added advantage.
