Purpose. This profile defines the candidate is seeking for a permanent IT Project Manager position within the IT Digital Transformation & Innovation (DTI) Business Services team. It is intended to help Hitachi Digital Services identify and propose suitably qualified candidates for a long-term placement. The successful candidate will report directly to the IT Business Partner Business Services, lead large implementation projects, keep the Business Services project portfolio up to date, and own complete resource planning for the Business Services team.

CORE EXPERTISE – MUST HAVE

The candidate must bring proven, hands-on expertise across the following three pillars:

Project Management

• 5+ years’ experience; 3+ years as a Project Manager
• Completed implementations exceeding 1,000,000 USD and 500+ man-days
• PMI methodologies – waterfall and Agile
• Risk, budget, scope and dependency management

SAP S/4HANA – FiCo

• Hands-on, practical implementation experience
• Finance & Controlling (FiCo) configuration and process knowledge
• ECC to S/4HANA conversion exposure
• Integration with end-to-end finance processes

Portfolio & Resource Planning

• Keeping a project portfolio current and transparent
• Complete resource & capacity planning for a project and Business Services team.
• Demand vs. supply balancing across projects.
• Vendor and external-partner coordination within projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Project delivery & methodology

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a multinational company or global services environment, of which at least 3 years as a Project Manager.
• Proven, completed implementation of projects exceeding 1,000,000 USD in value and 500+ man-days of effort, delivered on time, on budget and within scope.
• Hands-on application of PMI methodologies (waterfall or Agile) across the full project lifecycle, including risk, budget, dependency and change management.

SAP & functional

• Must-have: hands-on, practical SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling (FiCo) implementation experience.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end finance processes and their integration into business applications.

Resource & portfolio management

• Ability to own complete resource planning and capacity management for a delivery team on behalf of the business owner.
• Portfolio governance: tracking milestones and KPIs, and reporting outcomes to senior leadership.

Soft skills & long-term fit

• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills; able to align cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrates the core competencies – takes initiative, drives results, builds trust, collaborates and shows resilience.
• Advanced English; comfortable working across cultures and global, distributed teams.

ENGAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of large IT implementation projects (up to €2,000,000) end to end.
• Keep the full Business Services project portfolio up to date and transparent, in partnership with the IT Business Partner.
• Own complete resource planning and capacity management for the Business Services team, balancing demand across analysts and external delivery partners.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, manage dependencies and budgets, and ensure compliance, security and quality standards are met.
• Track and report on project KPIs, milestones and outcomes to senior leadership.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, vendors and external delivery partners to ensure aligned, successful delivery.
• Support change management and user adoption through communication and training.

GOOD TO HAVE (A PLUS)

• ServiceNow, Jira and SAP SuccessFactors.
• SAP S/4HANA modules beyond FiCo.
• SAP Ariba Guided Buying and Ariba Network.
• OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) and OpenText content management.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile (PMI-ACP / SAFe) certification.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
