Sap Basis Consultant

Role & responsibilities :

• Install, configure and administer SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA Database and SAP NetWeaver systems.
• Perform SAP installations, system copies, client copies, refreshes, kernel upgrades and patching.
• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and release management.
• Monitor system health, availability, capacity and performance.
• Perform HANA backup, restore, recovery and disaster recovery activities using File Backup and Backint.
• Support HANA System Replication, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• Administer SAP Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher and Solution Manager environments.
• Manage user administration, SSL certificates, SNC, SSO and security-related activities.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure teams for IBM Power Systems, AIX, RHEL, storage and networking.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and support critical incidents.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and support audit/compliance activities.

Preferred candidate profile :

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA DB, SAP DMS, SAP Sybase DB, SAPMAX DB and SAP SolMan
• Experience in kernel upgrades, SPS upgrades, HANA revisions and transport management.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning and system monitoring skills.
• Experience with IBM Power Systems, AIX and RHEL.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, HA and DR concepts.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix and database administration.
