Senior ABAP Programmer (SAP S4 HANA)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Programmer with strong expertise in SAP S4 HANA and SAP Analytics on Cloud (SAC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining ABAP-based solutions within SAP S4 HANA environments, and integrating SAP Analytics Cloud for enhanced reporting and analytics. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• ABAP Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs for SAP S4 HANA environments.
  • Work with complex custom developments and SAP standard enhancements.
  • Optimize performance of ABAP programs using best practices in the S4 HANA environment.
  • Develop reports, interfaces, and data migration programs using ABAP.
  • Implement BAPIs, RFCs, and other integration components for seamless connectivity with other systems.
• SAP S4 HANA Integration:
  • Integrate ABAP developments with SAP S4 HANA modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, QM, PS and PM) ensuring a smooth and efficient data flow.
  • Leverage S4 HANA capabilities to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Implement and maintain HANA-specific features (e.g., CDS Views, AMDP, HANA Optimized Code).
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform unit testing and code reviews to ensure the quality and functionality of ABAP programs and SAC applications.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior developers.
• Required Skills & Qualifications:
  Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience in SAP environments, with at least 4+ years of experience in SAP S4 HANA.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including dashboard/report creation, data integration, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working on SAP S4 HANA, including CDS views, AMDP, and other HANA optimizations.
  • Proficient in ABAP/OO programming, BAPIs, RFCs, and custom development objects.
  • Experience with integration tools such as SAP PI/PO, CPI, or other middleware solutions is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, QM, PM and PS) and their interrelationships.
  • Knowledge of Fiori/UI5 and its integration with ABAP developments is an added advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in ABAP (Advanced ABAP programming, debugging, performance tuning).
  • Deep understanding of SAP HANA database architecture and optimizations.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and optimizing reports in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data wrangling, and data visualization in SAC.
  • Knowledge of SAP BW, SAP HANA, or other data warehousing tools is a plus.

  • SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP with SAP HANA.
  • SAP Certified Application Associate SAP Analytics Cloud.
