Salesforce Technical Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Salesforce Technical Architect with 15+ years of overall IT experience, including 10+ years within the Salesforce ecosystem, to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale CRM solutions. This role requires deep architectural expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership capabilities to define scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Architecture & Solution Design

• Define end-to-end architecture across multiple Salesforce clouds including Sales, Service, Experience, and Marketing Cloud. 
• Design scalable and high-performance solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards. 
• Create detailed solution architecture documents, including HLDs and LLDs. 
• Define multi-org strategies, including org strategy, data partitioning, and governance. 
• Design reusable frameworks and common components for enterprise-wide use. 
• Architect solutions for large data volumes (LDV) and high transaction systems. 
• Ensure alignment with platform limits, governor limits, and licensing constraints. 
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to align Salesforce solutions with broader IT strategy. 
• Evaluate and recommend AppExchange products and third-party solutions. 
• Define disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity plans. 

Technical Leadership & Governance

• Establish and enforce Salesforce development standards and coding best practices. 
• Lead architecture review boards and technical design discussions. 
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers and technical leads. 
• Conduct regular code reviews and enforce quality assurance standards. 
• Define governance models for multi-team and multi-vendor environments. 
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements. 
• Drive adoption of reusable components and shared services. 
• Set up technical KPIs and quality metrics for engineering teams. 
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues and performance bottlenecks. 
• Continuously improve architecture practices based on evolving Salesforce capabilities. 

Development & Platform Expertise

• Lead hands-on development using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL. 
• Design and implement asynchronous processing using Batch Apex, Queueables, and Future methods. 
• Build advanced UI solutions using Lightning frameworks. 
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
• Leverage platform features like Flows, Platform Events, and Custom Metadata. 
• Implement secure coding practices and enforce secure development lifecycle. 
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across environments. 
• Design reusable Apex services and frameworks. 
• Ensure high test coverage and maintain robust unit testing strategies. 

Integration & Data Architecture

• Design integration solutions using REST, SOAP, and event-driven patterns. 
• Define API-led architecture and microservices-based integration strategies. 
• Work with middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica. 
• Design and maintain enterprise data models and data governance frameworks. 
• Lead large-scale data migration and transformation initiatives. 
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems. 
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms like OAuth 2.0 and JWT. 
• Handle real-time and batch data integration requirements. 
• Optimize integrations for performance and fault tolerance. 
• Define strategies for master data management (MDM). 

Program Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. 
• Lead solutioning workshops and architecture discussions. 
• Provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle. 
• Support estimation, planning, and resource allocation activities. 
• Engage with executive stakeholders and provide architectural insights. 
• Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog grooming. 
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. 
• Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks. 
• Maintain transparency through regular reporting and status updates. 
• Support change management and user adoption initiatives. 

Required Qualifications

Salesforce Expertise

• 10+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture and development. 
• Strong expertise in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and APIs. 
• Deep understanding of Salesforce security and sharing models. 
• Experience with multi-cloud Salesforce implementations. 
• Expertise in Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD practices. 
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce DX and metadata APIs.  
• Experience in AppExchange product evaluation and implementation. 
• Proven track record in handling enterprise-scale Salesforce projects. 

Architecture & Integration Experience

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks. 
• Experience in designing scalable integration architectures. 
• Expertise in API design and management. 
• Experience with event-driven architecture patterns. 
• Knowledge of microservices architecture. 
• Experience in data modeling and database design. 
• Understanding of enterprise data governance practices. 
• Ability to align technical architecture with business strategy. 
• Experience in cross-platform integrations.
