Job Description

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Platform & Development

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience - Extensive experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and working knowledge of Aura and Visualforce
  • In-depth knowledge of Apex Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, and best practices for bulkification and large data set handling
  • Strong proficiency in SOQL and SOSL
  • Experience with Salesforce declarative tools — Visual Flows, Approval Processes, complex Validation Rules, and Sharing concepts
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles as applied to Apex development

Integration & APIs

  • Strong knowledge of SOAP and REST web services for Salesforce integrations
  • Proven experience building complex API integrations between Salesforce and external systems
  • Ability to utilise Salesforce APIs effectively to connect with other platforms used in the organisation

Cloud & Ecosystem Knowledge

  • Strong hands-on experience with Sales Cloud
  • Basic experience or working knowledge of Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
  • Good understanding of the overall Salesforce technology stack and platform capabilities

Process & Tools

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end customisation within Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile / Scrum methodology, and version control tools such as Git and Jenkins
  • Ability to implement best practices for operational support, enhancements, and bug fixes on the Salesforce platform
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I / II or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification is a strong plus

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to DevOps tools specific to Salesforce (e.g. Copado, Flosum, Gearset, or SFDX)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud, and Data 360.
  • jQuery for advanced front-end customisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex workflows, triggers, Apex classes, and LWC components on the Salesforce Lightning platform
  • Build and maintain robust API integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using REST and SOAP
  • Implement and manage declarative configurations — Visual Flows, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, and Sharing Rules
  • Ensure code quality through bulkification, governor limit awareness, and adherence to Salesforce best practices
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other developers to deliver features on time
  • Assess impact of changes on end users and provide a sound functional perspective before implementation
  • Perform operational support, bug fixes, and enhancements on the Salesforce platform
  • Mentor junior Salesforce developers and review their code and configurations
  • Work within an Agile / Scrum environment — participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
