Job Description
JOB TITLE : Sales Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO : GeneralManagers or any other official assigned by the reporting authority.
SUMMARY :
To ensure thatbudgeted occupancy and revenue targets for the hotel are met or exceeded. Thiswill be done by managing key customer relationships, managing a team ofmotivated sales people and ensuring that remote offices and channels arealigned with the hotels objectives.
KEY ACTIVITIES
BusinessGeneration
- To develop a plan by customer, industrysegment, room type and geography to achieve targeted performance on occupancy,ARR and RevPar.
- To closely monitor competition activityand strategy and modify actions accordingly.
- Strategic deals with tour operators andbusiness partners to increase market share
- Effective implementation of sales plan andincorporate new strategies based on demand cycles.
RelationshipManagement
- Regular sales visits to assigned accountsto strengthen relationships
- Conduct Site Inspections.
- Presentation on new product or new offers.
- Hosting of meals for decision makers andInfluencers of decision.
- Hosting of educational and familiarizationtrips.
- Regular Communication with JapaneseForeign Tour Operators through email and tele-calling.
New BusinessDevelopment

- Existingportfolio
- Shiftingprofitable business from relevant competition set.
Budgeting ,Planning , Data Analysis and MIS
- Ensures organizational policies andprocedures are implemented.
- Implements and monitors the plan for roomsand FB by reviewing key performance indicators.
- Oversees the electronic channels for thehotel, to ensure that occupancy and ARR are maximized.
- Analyses trends and data to developselling strategies to cope with changing needs.
- Maintains professional and close contactwith customers, guests and competition to earn goodwill and incorporaterecommended changes in services and amenities.
- Prepares the annual budget for the hoteland updates at least quarterly.
- Constantly liaises with remote salesoffices to maximize opportunities in all geographies.
- Responsible for Banquet Sales and RevenueManagement of the unit.
- To maintain key and potential customerdatabase for communication and mailing
StrategicManagement
- Research and develop appropriate productpositioning to encompass changing market trends.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans forleisure business and ensure implementation.
- Propose and recommend pricing strategy tocope with changing market.
Administration
- Set up sales processes and ensureimplementation.
- Propose , develop and implementcommunication pieces for the trade in coordination with marketing.
- Ensure recovery of dues in difficult casesin coordination with Finance
