MANAGER - TECHNICAL SALES
PURPOSE
Implement and Monitor strategies & policies to achieve targeted sales, TP and improve market share of Technical Foam on sustainable basis. Strategically add customers for achieving business objectives while maintaining customer relationship.
PROFITABLE GROWTH
Implement sales plan and ensure achievement of RCV & TP targets in Technical Foam Segment. Identify and increase sales of High TP products. Focus on improving Low TP Products. Prospect & identify opportunities and convert them into business. Actively follow current industry trends, market and competitors activities and use them to rationalize product portfolio & new product development.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT & PENETRATION
Implement strategies for enhancing market share. Participate in local exhibitions & fairs. Survey markets for potential clients at regular interval, identify new customer or new foam applications. Work closely with Manufacturing to understand and develop product line extensions or new product lines.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Maintain and enhance relationship with customers by providing support, information and guidance. Visit existing customer to strengthen relationship Ensure timely end customer complaint redressal.
COLLECTIONS
Ensure that payments are received timely from the customers. Ensure compliance to Statutory requirement of Sales tax and other Govt bodies such as forms, etc.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Periodic Sales performance review with Team and Customers. Conducting Sales staff training program with the help of Training Dept. Develop successor for Business Continuity
KEY DECISIONS
Decision on introduction of new technical products as per market trend.
Decision on adding new technical customers. Decision on finalizing rates contracts, payment terms and conditions. Take decision on job rotation, employee development, promotion recommendation, disengaging nonperformers and manpower planning.
Working Relation
Close relationship with Peers to have a better understanding of Industry. Close relationship with R & D Department to ensure better understanding and smooth introduction / changes product portfolio for technical customers. Work closely with Customers to understand and develop product line extensions or new product lines. Close relation with Commercial to ensure that all financial claims / accounts of Technical Customers are settled within time. Close relationship with other Service Departments. Work with operations, logistics and other concerned departments for better and timely service to customers. Establish close relationship with technical customer to understand their needs / market needs and challenges. Close relation with subordinates to ensure harmonious working conditions
