Role Purpose
The Sales Manager - Informal (Housing Finance) will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing high-value secured lending opportunities within the Prime segment. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring high portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Acquire new Prime customers for LAP products within the defined ticket size (10L 5Cr).
- Generate business through open market sourcing, channel partners, DSAs, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline to consistently achieve disbursement targets.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across other financial products (Insurance, Wealth, etc.).
Client Relationship Management
- Develop long-term relationships with SME clients and key stakeholders.
- Act as a single point of contact for client queries and service needs.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Credit Assessment & Structuring
- Understand customer financials, business models, and funding requirements.
- Conduct initial screening and documentation for loan applications.
- Coordinate with credit teams to structure deals and ensure timely approvals.
- Maintain quality of sourcing with low delinquency and strong risk assessment.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor existing portfolio and ensure asset quality.
- Track repayments, identify early warning signals, and minimize delinquency.
- Drive collections support wherever required.
Compliance & Process Adherence
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and KYC norms.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready files.
- Follow TATs for login, sanction, and disbursement processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Disbursement value and achievement of targets
- Portfolio quality (Low NPA/Delinquency levels)
- Customer acquisition and retention
- Cross-sell revenue contribution
- TAT adherence and process compliance
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM preferred)
Experience
- 38 years of experience in Informal lending roles
- Proven track record in handling mid-to-large ticket size loans
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of LAP and SME lending products
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit evaluation
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
- Strong market connect and sourcing capability
- Result-oriented with high ownership and accountability
