Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Migration Analysis & Planning (20%)
- Conduct technical discovery and analysis and other tools to assess the current state of our Classic org.
- Identify and document all customizations (Visualforce, JavaScript buttons, etc.) requiring remediation or replacement.
- Collaborate with architects and BAs to create a technical migration strategy and phased rollout plan.
Lightning-Focused Development & Implementation (60%)
- Design, develop, and test high-performance, scalable Lightning Web Components (LWA) as the primary technology for new customizations.
- Modernize the user interface by building and configuring dynamic Lightning Pages using the Lightning App Builder .
- Refactor and optimize existing Apex Classes, Triggers, and SOQL to be Lightning-ready and leverage modern features like the Lightning Data Service.
- Integrate and update existing Visualforce pages within the Lightning Experience using Lightning Out or by applying SLDS for UI consistency.
- Replace deprecated Classic functionalities (e.g., JavaScript buttons, overlay pages) with modern Lightning alternatives.
Testing, Deployment & Stabilization (20%)
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure functional parity and superior performance in Lightning Experience.
- Manage deployments of Lightning components and related metadata using CI/CD tools or change sets.
- Provide post-migration support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the Lightning experience based on user feedback.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Must Have: 4+ years of hands-on development experience on the Salesforce Platform.
- Must Have: Direct, hands-on experience in at least one end-to-end migration project from Salesforce Classic to Lightning Experience.
- Proven Technical Skills:
- Lightning Web Components (LWA): Strong proficiency in developing custom LWC.
- Apex & SOQL: Extensive experience with triggers, classes, and asynchronous operations.
- Lightning App Builder: Practical experience in building and configuring Lightning Pages.
- Visualforce: Understanding of how to integrate and modernize Visualforce pages in Lightning.
- Tools: Proficiency with Salesforce DX, VS Code, and Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I (Required)
- Salesforce Platform Developer II (Strongly Preferred)
- Lightning Web Components Specialist (A major plus)
- Experience:
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS).
- Experience with user training and adoption strategies for Lightning rollout.
- Familiarity with other Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Experience).
