Role & responsibilities


We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive with a strong textile background and proven business development capabilities. The ideal candidate brings 45 years of hands-on sales experience across yarns and fabrics, different categories, combined with the ability to build lasting client relationships and grow revenue in a competitive market. Based in India’s textile and fashion hub, this role plays a critical part in expanding the customer base, driving sales targets, and strengthening market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, approach, and onboard buyers for yarns and fabrics of different Categories..
  • Manage end-to-end sales lifecycle: prospecting, sampling, negotiation, order confirmation, and delivery coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a diversified customer base across India and international markets.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to align product offerings with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Conduct product presentations and sample campaigns to showcase yarn and fabric collections to prospective clients.

Client Management & Negotiations

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and lead times to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Build long-term partnerships with key clients, conducting periodic business reviews and account development plans.
  • Resolve client complaints and manage escalations related to quality concerns or delivery issues.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, or a related field (mandatory).
  • MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales Management, or Textile Business is an advantage.

Experience

  • 4–5 years of experience in textile sales, marketing, or business development roles.
  • Demonstrated experience selling yarns, woven / knit fabrics to garment manufacturers or traders.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a textile context.

Technical Skills

Systems & Technology

  • Yarn & fabric construction, counts, and quality standards
  • Product costing & price negotiation
  • Customer scouting & buyer profiling
  • Import/export documentation (DGFT, customs)
  • Knowledge of BIS / OEKO-TEX & sustainability standards

  • Advanced MS Excel (sales reporting, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent)
  • ERP / PLM tools familiarity

Preferred Profile

  • Experience selling to garment manufacturers, fabric traders, and export houses across India (synthetics, knits, and powerloom segments).
  • Prior exposure to international sales or export of yarns and fabrics to Bangladesh, China, or South-East Asia /Europe /Latin/USA/Africa
  • Familiarity with sustainable product offerings and ESG-aligned selling in textile markets.
  • Knowledge of India’s textile trade ecosystem, wholesale networks, and key buying clusters.
