Job Title - Sales Executive Rooftop Solar
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and target-driven Sales Executive to lead sales activities for Rooftop Solar projects. The role involves managing key accounts, driving high-value solar sales, mentoring junior sales staff, and closing residential, commercial, and industrial rooftop solar projects. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge and a proven ability to convert leads into profitable projects.
Key Responsibility :
- Identify and generate leads for rooftop solar projects through field sales, referrals, and channel partners
- Meet prospective customers, understand their energy requirements, and propose suitable solar solutions
- Guide and support junior sales team to improve overall team performance
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with technical teams for feasibility and system design
- Present proposals, quotations, and ROI/payback analyses to clients.
- Negotiate pricing and close sales agreements to achieve monthly and annual targets
- Coordinate with internal teams for documentation, installation, and project execution
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Keep track of market trends, competitor activities, and government solar policies/subsidies
- Maintain accurate sales records and update regularly
- Maintain Good relationship with Banks and APDCL.
- Arrange Meetings and appointments with govt officials.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree, Masters or a related field (preferred), 4–6 years of total sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in rooftop solar or renewable energy, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or electrical products, Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel for site visits and field sales activities
Good understanding of rooftop solar systems and energy concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in selling residential, commercial, or industrial rooftop solar projects
Knowledge of net metering, government incentives, and solar financing models
Existing network of architects, builders, or industrial clients
Skills & Competencies :
Target-oriented and self-motivated
Presentation and proposal-writing skills
Strong follow-up and closing skills
Knowledge of Local Language
Strategic and solution-oriented sales approach
Leadership and mentoring capability
