Position: Sales Executive
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Mumabi/New Delhi/ & Pune
Reporting To: Sales Manager / Branch Head
Grade: Executive
1. Role Summary
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales of elevator solutions including new installations, modernization, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely order closure and smooth project execution.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and generate new business leads through site visits, consultants, builders, architects, and channel partners.
- Develop relationships with developers, contractors, RWAs, hospitals, hotels, and corporate clients.
- Conduct regular market mapping and competitor analysis in the assigned territory.
B. Sales & Order Closure
- Promote Escons elevator products, modernization solutions, and service offerings.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals in coordination with Tender / Techno-Commercial team.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules within approved limits.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in terms of order value and number of units.
C. Customer Engagement & Site Coordination
- Conduct site visits for requirement assessment and technical feasibility.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Installation, and Projects teams for drawings, approvals, and execution planning.
- Act as the single point of contact for customers until order handover.
D. Order Processing & Documentation
- Ensure timely collection of customer documents, approvals, and initial advances.
- Coordinate LOI/PO receipt and order booking as per company procedures.
- Ensure proper handover of finalized orders to the execution and billing teams.
E. Payment Follow-up & Relationship Management
- Support collections in coordination with Accounts and Credit Control teams.
- Maintain long-term customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Handle customer concerns in coordination with service and operations teams.
F. MIS & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and opportunity tracking in CRM/ERP.
- Submit daily activity reports, weekly sales reports, and monthly forecasts.
- Track order conversion ratios and reasons for wins/losses.
3. Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Basic understanding of elevator systems, projects, and contracts.
- Ability to read BOQs, layouts, and commercial proposals (basic level).
- Good communication skills in English and local language.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM/ERP systems.
4. Qualification & Experience
- Graduate / Diploma (Engineering preferred but not mandatory).
- 2-5 years of experience in B2B / project sales (Elevator / Construction / Infrastructure industry preferred).
- Experience in handling consultants and institutional clients will be an advantage.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales targets (value & units).
- Lead conversion ratio.
- Timely order booking and documentation.
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
