Job Description
- Understanding the Product: Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the childrens books published by the company, including their themes, age appropriateness, educational value, and unique selling points
- Generating Leads: Identify potential buyers such as schools, libraries, bookstores, educational institutions, and other organizations interested in childrens literature
- Pitching and Presenting: Effectively present and promote childrens books to potential buyers, highlighting their educational benefits, entertainment value, and relevance to the target audience
- Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in schools, libraries, and other institutions to encourage repeat sales and recommendations
- Negotiating Contracts: Discuss pricing, terms of sale, discounts, and other contractual details with buyers while ensuring profitability for the company
- Market Research: Stay updated on trends in childrens literature, educational standards, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies and offerings accordingly
- Sales Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from the childrens book segment
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, editorial, and distribution teams to coordinate promotional campaigns, book launches, and sales events
- Feedback and Reporting: Gather feedback from customers and provide insights to the company regarding market trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for improvement
- Educational Outreach: Organize and participate in educational events, book fairs, and workshops to showcase the companys childrens books and build brand awareness
- Professional Development: Stay informed about developments in childrens literature, educational methods, and sales techniques through training and professional development opportunities
