Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Develop and generate new business for freight forwarding services including Air Freight, Sea Freight (Import & Export), and related logistics solutions.
- Identify and approach potential customers, build strong relationships, and convert leads into business.
- Maintain and grow existing client accounts by offering competitive rates and value-added services.
- Prepare and negotiate freight quotations, contracts, and pricing with customers in coordination with operations teams.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams for smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and MIS updates for management.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry-related activities as required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations (Air & Sea), Incoterms, and international trade processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to close deals and manage long-term client relationships.
- Good understanding of pricing, cost structures, and profit margins in logistics.
