Job Description

SailPoint ISC/IDN Consultant
1. IDN Platform Proficiency : A certified engineer should have a deep understanding of the SailPoint IdentityNow platform, including its architecture, features, and capabilities.
As a Consultant, should be able to transform business requirements into technical requirements, identify and analyse different solution approaches and decide on the optimal one and guide the team on implementation.
2. Configuration and Customization : The engineer should be skilled in configuring and customizing IdentityNow to meet specific organizational requirements. This includes configuring user provisioning, access request workflows, role-based access control, and automated provisioning/de-provisioning.
3. Integration Expertise : Certified engineers should have experience integrating IdentityNow with various systems, applications, and directories. This involves using connectors, APIs, and web services to establish connections and synchronize data.
4. Scripting and Development : Proficiency in scripting languages such as Beanshell, PowerShell, or Groovy is essential for customizing and extending IdentityNows functionality. This includes creating custom rules (Connector, Cloud), scripts, and connectors.
5. Identity Governance : Certified engineers should have a solid understanding of identity governance concepts, including identity lifecycle management, access reviews, segregation of duties (SoD), and compliance reporting.
6. Access Control and Entitlement Management : Knowledge of access control principles, entitlements, and role management is crucial for designing effective access models within IdentityNow.
7. Security Protocols and Standards : Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and others is important for integrating IdentityNow securely.
8. Troubleshooting Skills : Certified engineers should be adept at diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to IdentityNow, connectors, and integrations.
9. Project Management : Ability to work within project timelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the implementation and deployment of IdentityNow solutions.
10. Continuous Learning : The identity and access management landscape evolves rapidly. Certified engineers should be committed to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
11 . Communication : Strong communication skills are vital for interacting with clients, understanding their requirements, and effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
12. Documentation : Ability to document configurations, customizations, integrations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
13. Cloud and DevOps Knowledge : Understanding of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices can be beneficial, especially if the organizations solutions involve cloud-based services and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
