Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, statutory regulations, and client safety requirements at the worksite.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Conduct safety induction programs, refresher training, and daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor the implementation of the Permit to Work (PTW) system for hot work, confined space entry, work at height, lifting operations, and electrical work.
• Ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting, scaffolding, excavation, confined space, hot work, and work at height to ensure safe execution.
• Inspect firefighting equipment, emergency response systems, first-aid facilities, and emergency exit routes to ensure operational readiness.
• Conduct routine inspections of tools, machinery, lifting equipment, electrical equipment, and work areas to ensure safe working conditions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences, prepare investigation reports, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, safety observations, inspection reports, and compliance records.
