Job Summary

To be responsible for the overall performance of state-level targets and ensure the achievement of business objectives through strategic planning, effective execution, and strong team leadership.

Job Responsibilities

• Finalize annual budgets and sales targets for the financial year; monitor and ensure product-wise and sector-wise profitability across the state/region.
• Review and evaluate team performance against defined KPIs and targets.
• Take strategic decisions on channel partner performance, including credit limits, placement strategies, and channel shutdowns where required.
• Design, propose, and implement trade schemes and promotional programs to drive growth.
• Collaborate with the development team to formulate and execute effective product promotion strategies.
• Manage and cater to requirements of high net-worth and key customers.
• Regularly monitor ageing and ensure outstanding receivables are maintained within approved limits.
• Liaise with government authorities, universities, and research institutions for business development and collaboration.
• Review market insights, intelligence, and competitive activities; revise strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with crop managers and logistics teams to align supply planning and optimize sales volumes.
• Review inventory levels at depots and develop strategies for liquidation and stock mobilization.
• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales team to ensure sustained growth.
• Participate in mega farmer meets, dealer conferences, and industry events to promote the company's image and brand.
• Achieve assigned state-level profitability and business targets.

Qualification

• M.Sc. (Agriculture) or MBA in Agri-Business

Experience Required

15-18 years of relevant experience in sales and business management, preferably in the agri-input industry.
