About Us
Founded in 1917 as a family business in Gavà, near Barcelona, Roca began by manufacturing cast iron radiators for domestic heating before expanding into boilers. In 1929, Roca entered the bathroom sector with bathtub production, and subsequently began producing vitreous china sanitaryware in 1936, followed by brassware in 1954, recognizing the changing relationship between society and water. The 1990s initiated Roca's international expansion through strategic acquisitions, notably the 1999 acquisition of Swiss Keramik Holding Laufen, then the world's fourth-largest sanitaryware manufacturer. Today, Roca operates globally, committed to innovation and adapting to societal shifts in water culture. This strategic expansion has established Roca as a key global player in the bathroom industry, offering a diverse range of products.
