Project Description
Using an RCT design, this study aims to enhance the effectiveness of Community Health Workers (ASHAs in India) through a mission-engagement intervention. The project comprises the following components:
- Pilot phase testing surveys and workshops September 2024
- Baseline surveys for 800 ASHAs and households - October-November 2024
- Workshop intervention period - December-March 2024
- Endline surveys - March-April 2025
- Follow up surveys, data analysis and preparation of relevant research outputs May-September 2025
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the project
- Ensure compliance with Institutional Review Board protocols
- Supervise research associates including overseeing day-to-day activities and ensure high quality data analysis
- Supervise research associates and other operational staff.
- Coordinate with field managers
- Anticipate challenges to research projects and work with researchers to address them.
- Identify and mitigate risks to research projects.
- Work closely with principal investigators to ensure project budgets are updated and executed properly
- Stakeholder management: Manage relationships with funding organizations, partner institutions and other stakeholders to coordinate and fulfil project outcomes
- Serve as the primary contributor to written products like progress reports, research reports, briefings, blogs, grant reports and other key documents

Relocation to Hyderabad (2nd half of the year)

Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Master s degree in relevant field such as economics or public policy/administration. Significant coursework in economics is highly preferred
- Proficiency in English and Hindi
- 1-3 years of experience in managing field research projects or working as a research associate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Proven analytical skills and knowledge of common statistics software packages (e.g. STATA, R)
- Familiarity with randomized control trials
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and propose solutions in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to visit research project sites as necessary
