Job Description

Research: The research intern will conduct thoroughresearch into extended producer responsibility frameworks in different sectors,their gaps, and challenges. The research will also include analysing the wasteflows of clean energy technologies with other waste streams and framingrecommendations for effective waste management.
Data collection and stakeholder consultation:

Theresearch intern will identify relevant stakeholders across the value chain ofclean technology waste management. In addition, the intern will preparequestionnaires, conduct interviews, and conduct field visits to gather data onclean energy manufacturing and deployment and estimate waste generation.
Analysing data: The research intern will be responsiblefor organising and analysing data gathered to develop an estimate of wastegeneration. This may involve using statistical and technical softwares (likepython, excel etc.) and other tools to identify trends, patterns, andcorrelations in the data.

Otherresponsibilities

Assist with project implementation, including help withpreparing presentations, factsheets, and other communication material.
Support efforts in executing other projects on climateco\-benefits of other sectors.

Selection Criteria

Qualification
Bachelor\\/Master\ degree inenvironmental engineering, environmental management or planning, urbanplanning, urban sanitation, waste management, or related field.

Work experience
0\-1 years of experience.
Desirable \- Prior work experience in research onwaste management or circular economy.

Key skills
Strong ability to identify and managestakeholders and carry out consultations.
Strong ability to organise, process, and analysedata sets that are used and derived through stakeholder consultation, secondaryresearch and software tools.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to summarise and communicate theinsights\/findings as reports and presentations.
Strong technical expertise and interpersonalskills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and understanding ofprogramming languages like Python and other software for performingquantitative analysis\/simulations.
Proficiency in Hindi and English is a must.

Willingness to work on multi\-disciplinaryprojects.
Willingness to learn new research and projectmanagement skills.
Ability to identify creative solutions to vexingchallenges in taking policy to action.
