Excellent communication required to ensure that the release manager is to be able to work collaboratively with all teams in a software development process, including developers, testers, IT management, and project managers to ensure that changes and the release process is according to a timeframe.
As a release manager ensure to focus more on day-to-day changes to help successfully deploy a project with the least disruption possible.
Ability to coordinate multiple teams to ensure tasks are completed in time with the release schedule.
Lead and contribute towards making improvements in the release process and documentations.
Schedule, coordinate, and manage releases for multiple applications that exist within the business
Facilitates the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Run the production deployment calls , co-ordination and tracking of the task progresses, communicates the final results of the release (success/rollback) and closely monitoring the post production issues/incidents.
In-depth knowledge of common agile methodology and / or classical procedural models (for example SCRUM or ITIL) and presentation techniques.
Take part in CAB meetings in order to discuss the CAB meetings to know about the release scope and any blockers.
Experience with build and release management, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process and tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Strong hands on and experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, ADO Boards, Remedy, ServiceNow, Azure Dev Ops Pipelines, JIRA and Wiki.
Strong knowledge on Web and Mobile Applications.
