Release Engineer, DevOps

Location- Pune/ Bangalore/ Hyderabad/ Chennai

Shift- UK Hours

Skill: Release engineer DevOps- Command-line environments (cmd, PowerShell), Experience with Windows OS and server administration, Solid understanding of SQL & Oracle databases, experience in source control management tools e.g. GiT, TFS, familiarity with CI/CD tools e.g. Azure DevOps, Knowledge of cloud platform like Microsoft Azure and AWS, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and automate software builds and releases across various environments.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth release cycles.
• Maintain and administer Windows Servers and related infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain scripts for build, deployment, and system tasks using command-line tools (cmd, bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Collaborate with developers to support application deployment processes using CI/CD tools.
• Manage source control systems and maintain version control best practices.
• Ensure database integration and support using SQL, Oracle, or similar languages.
• Troubleshoot issues related to releases and deployments.
• Implement risk management practices and provide quick problem resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of command-line environments (cmd, bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with Windows OS and Windows Server administration.
• Proficient in programming languages like C# and .NET.
• Solid understanding of SQL, Oracle, or other database systems.
• Experience in source control management tools (e.g., Git, TFS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software release or DevOps roles.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
