Fortis Healthcare Ltd is looking for Registrar Anaesthesiology to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
  • As a Registrar in Anaesthesiology, you will be a crucial member of the anaesthesia team, responsible for providing anesthesia care to patients undergoing medical procedures
  • This role involves preoperative assessments, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients during and after procedures, under the supervision of senior anaesthesiologists

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preoperative Assessment:Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to evaluate patients' medical history, physical condition, and anesthesia requirements
  • Assist in the development of anesthesia plans in collaboration with senior anaesthesiologists
  • Anesthesia Administration:Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as directed by senior anaesthesiologists
  • Perioperative Care:Monitor patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and during the recovery period
  • Address any complications or adverse reactions promptly and report to senior anaesthesiologists
  • Assist in Pain Management:Support in providing postoperative pain relief and contribute to chronic pain management consultations
  • Collaborate with the anaesthesia team to ensure effective pain control
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans
  • Teaching and Learning:Engage in educational activities, including participating in case discussions and grand rounds
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students
  • Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including preoperative assessments and intraoperative monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with documentation protocols
  • Emergency Response:Respond promptly to anesthesia-related emergencies and assist in the management of critical situations
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team in emergency scenarios
