Job Description

Job Title - Regional Sales Manager

Department - Retail

Location - New Delhi

Required Qualification - Any Graduate/MBA (Sales & Mktg.) from a reputed Institution/University

Experience - 15-25 years

Industry Preferred: Building materials

Technical knowledge/Skills

1) Thorough understanding of the Retail business

2) Expertise in Sales Planning & forecasting, Retail operations, Dealer & Distributor management

3) Sound knowledge of market mapping, product pricing, Channel ROI etc.

4) Sound understanding of Brand Positioning/Product Promotion

5) Strong analytical skills

6) Excellent presentation & articulation skills

Responsibility

Sales planning & execution

1) To formulate the states annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets (category wise) in line with the Organisational objectives.

2) To ensure the achievement of the targeted sales (category wise) and regular monitoring of the same.

3) To implement strategies for market penetration and increase the market share.

4) Ensure periodic review of all business processes, parameters and performance and devise suitable action plan and ensure its implementation.

5) To make joint visits with the front-line team to the market on regular basis.

Market development

1) To lead teams with interactions with architects & builders and generate business leads from them.

Debtor management

1) Ensure ontime cash flow by reducing total outstanding in value & credit days.

2) To analyse the overdue collection/outstanding on weekly basis and accordingly creating action plan for every customer as per the credit policy

Network Expansion

1) To develop & expand the retail network to penetrate brand presence in alignment with the business target.

2) To develop relationship with the potential competition counters.

Customer Delight

1) Ensure proper fulfilment of the orders placed by the customers as per the defined timelines.

2) Work in close coordination with other internal department/teams to resolve customer queries/issues to meet customer satisfaction/service levels.

3) Engage, educate & nurture existing partner relationship through regular visits, trainings/ exposure visits etc.

Brand positioning

1) Ensure proper planning & effective execution of various sales promotional activities like architect/builder visits, plumber meets & dealer meets.

2) Ensure product displays & brandings to the desired level of presentation.

Market Intelligence

1) To collate the competitor data/information related to pricing, schemes, branding activities etc received from the team members & accordingly conduct competitor analysis.

2) To devise effective counter measures for maintaining competitive edge.

Team Development

1) Drive a culture of performance - set goals, periodic reviews and action plans to manage performance.

2) Provide constructive & timely feedback to the team members for performance improvement.

3) To provide handholding support to the new joinees to ensure smooth onboarding & acclimatisation with the Organisational Culture.

4) To upskill the team members by imparting/nominating them for required trainings & ensure the implementation of the learnings.
