Role & responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Achievement:
- Develop and implement regional sales plans.
- Achieve monthly, seasonal, and annual sales targets.
- Drive product-wise and geography-wise growth.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate the regional sales team.
- Review performance and provide field coaching.
- Conduct sales reviews and capability-building sessions.
Channel Partner Management:
- Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers.
- Monitor inventory, credit, and primary/secondary sales.
- Maintain strong channel relationships.
Farmer Engagement & Field Activities:
- Conduct farmer meetings, demos, and field days.
- Collaborate with agronomy/product teams.
- Execute marketing campaigns.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking:
- Track market trends and cropping patterns.
- Monitor competitor activities.
- Provide insights for strategic planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development.
- Support demand forecasting and product availability.
- Assist in new product launches.
Preferred candidate profile
B.Sc. / M.Sc. Agriculture preferred.
10 - 15 years of experience in seeds/agri-input sales.
Track record of handling regional-level responsibilities.
Experience managing sales teams and channel partners.
