Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY


The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of KENT ESS business across the Kerela (Kochi - Base) region. This role requires a dynamic sales leader who can build and manage strong channel networks, lead regional teams, and consistently achieve primary, secondary, and tertiary sales targets across Home, Commercial, and Industrial ESS segments.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Development & Sales:

  • Develop and expand the company's ESS business across the assigned region.
  • Appoint and manage distributors, channel partners, and dealer networks for ESS products.

  • Drive sales growth across the following product segments:

- Home ESS 1100 / 2200 VA Inverters

- Lithium Battery Systems 12V / 25V / 51V 100AH LFP Packs

Solar Hybrid Solutions Single Phase 3 / 5 KW Inverters

Commercial & Industrial ESS 3 Phase 10 / 12 / 15 KW Inverters


  • Responsible for achieving primary, secondary, and tertiary sales targets within the region.

  • Ensure strong product movement across all channel layers:

Distributor Dealer

Dealer Retail Counter

– Retail Counter End Customer


  • Identify new market opportunities, potential distributors, EPCs, and institutional customers.
  • Drive business expansion in residential, commercial, and industrial ESS segments.

Channel & Partner Management:

  • Develop and strengthen dealer/distributor relationships for long-term business growth.
  • Ensure proper branding, product visibility, and promotional activities across the market.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for dealer meets, roadshows, exhibitions, and channel engagement programs.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and prevailing market trends.
  • Maintain healthy collection discipline and enforce timely payment across channel partners.
  • Ensure distributor stock availability and proactive inventory planning.
  • Support technical and service coordination for key channel partners and customers.

Team Management & Field Operations:

  • Recruit, train, and manage Area Sales Managers (ASM) and Field Sales Officers (FSO) under the regional structure.
  • Monitor and guide the sales team for daily market coverage, lead generation, and target achievement.
  • Conduct regular market visits alongside ASMs and field teams.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and business expansion plans.

TEAM HANDLING RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Appoint and lead the regional sales team, including:

– Area Sales Managers (ASM)

– Field Sales Officers (FSO)

– Channel Sales Executives


  • Define KPIs and assign sales targets for all team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, market audits, and feedback sessions.
  • Train the sales team on ESS products, applications, and market positioning strategies.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE


  • Proven experience in channel sales and distribution management.

  • Prior exposure to one or more of the following industries:

– Energy Storage Systems (ESS)

– Lithium Battery Industry

– Solar EPC & Solar Products

– Inverter / Power Backup Industry

– Electrical & Power Electronics


  • Established distributor and dealer network in the assigned region is a strong advantage.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and people development capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and business development skills.
  • Sound understanding of solar and energy storage market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
