Job Description
Position Purpose :
The role is responsible for independent ownership and execution of complex UX and application design initiatives across digital banking platforms. As a senior individual contributor, the similar will drive design excellence through hands-on work, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with business, product, and technology teams.
Position Responsibilities :
- Own end-to-end UX/UI design for high-impact digital initiatives across mobile apps, web platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Business teams to define experience strategy and design direction.
- Translate complex business, technical, and regulatory requirements into simple, intuitive, and scalable user experiences.
- Influence product roadmaps through user insights, design thinking, and experience-led recommendations.
- Create and deliver high-quality wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, user journeys, interaction flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Drive hands-on design execution from concept to final engineering hand-off with clear specifications and documentation.
- Ensure design consistency, accessibility, and usability across all digital touchpoints in line with UX best practices and brand standards.
- Execute complex UI designs, interaction patterns, motion design, and micro-interactions independently where required.
- Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and analyze feedback and behavioral data to continuously improve experiences.
- Present design solutions to senior stakeholders, act as a UX subject matter expert, and collaborate with Branding, Marketing, and external partners to refine and scale outcomes.
Note : This is a senior IC role with no direct people management but may include mentoring or guiding junior designers on specific initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory. Candidates from other streams must possess a recognized Diploma or Certification in Design.
Work Experience :
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI design with ownership of large or complex digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design depth, problem-solving ability, and real business impact.
- Expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and usability principles.
- Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills. Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Skills & Attributes :
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a consistent focus on high-quality design output.
- Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), including creation of custom icon libraries, loaders, animations, GIFs, and micro-interactions.
- Highly independent and outcome-driven professional with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and ability to influence decisions without formal authority. Excellent collaboration and communication skills
