R&D Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Join our Engineering R&D team developing the next generation of Friction Welding machines and Test Rigs. Strong knowledge of engineering design principles is essential.

• Design parts, sub-systems, and assemblies for friction welding machines and test rigs
• Perform design calculations and interpret Finite Element Analysis results
• Analyse technical papers and standards (e.g. EN14363, UIC518, US CFR49) and draw up compliant designs
• Work independently on designing systems/sub-systems with strong problem-solving attitude

• Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
• Prior hands-on experience in Machine Design, preferably in Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
• GD&T awareness and capability to perform calculations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
