RAN Engineer

Qualification and Experience : BE with 4 to 8 Years of Experience in RAN Engineering and Support Work closely with the team and mentor them

• Installs, commissions and integrates RAN solution including eNB, g-NB, DU, vDU, vCU (both NFV and Containerized based solutions).
• Prepare configuration files for Radio sites / carriers using customer provided information in CIQ.
• Provide root cause analysis, workarounds and bug fixes for issues during integration and operational phase.
• Ensures end-to-end connectivity for the RAN solution with packet core. This includes Synchronization (PTP) and other Open RAN interfaces (Control, User and & Management MPlane). Provides technical support and knowledge transfer for LTE and 5G RAN solution to customer.
• Support software package upgrade for eNB, CU and DU and perform health checks post activity.
• Support SW patch apply, activate RAN features and perform post validations.
• Innovate and implement experimental ideas and concepts to deliver value to the end consumers.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all issues are addressed.
• Day to Day issue handling and reporting
• Strong background on LTE & 5G RAN concepts of network architecture, radio protocols and call procedures.
• Understanding on NFV concepts of virtualization (VMs, containers, etc..).
• Strong understanding of documentation, including deployment layout and integration details (CIQ).
• Strong troubleshooting skills to debug and analyze alarms and network related issues with LTE and 5G RAN.
• Identifies issues that need fixes or solutions.
• Understanding of architectural solutions, design, specify, implement, test RAN features, LTE and 5G product and solutions.
• Understanding of Linux operating system.
• Strong hands-on experience as an individual contributor in Conceptualize, Design and Develop new features in the product
