Job description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced R&D Manager in Organic Synthesis to lead our research and development efforts in this field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry and a proven track record of successfully leading R&D projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of scientists and researchers in the organic synthesis department.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for organic synthesis research aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Drive innovation and creativity in the development of new organic synthesis methodologies and processes.
  • Oversee the design, execution, and optimization of organic synthesis experiments and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytical chemistry, process engineering, and product development to ensure seamless integration of organic synthesis research into product development pipelines.
  • Stay abreast of latest developments in organic chemistry and related fields, and integrate new technologies and methodologies into the R&D process.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all organic synthesis research activities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the organic synthesis team
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders through regular reports, presentations, and meetings.

Requirements

  • PhD / Msc in Organic Chemistry or related field with a 4-6 years of industry experience in organic synthesis research.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading R&D teams and projects.
  • Expertise in a wide range of organic synthesis techniques, including modern synthetic methodologies, reaction mechanisms, and characterization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive innovation and creativity in organic synthesis research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to organic synthesis research.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
